In Deaf Church today I met Sean. He is a young, handicapped boy. (The boy in white the white shirt in the picture above). After church I began to sign to him in order to introduce myself but I was also articulating what I was signing. To my amazement Sean spoke to me!! lol He was not Deaf! He has many Deaf friends in school (NCPD) and so understands sign language. I thought that was interesting. He seemed to be part and parcel of the group even though this was the first time he attended Deaf Church.
